A breif summary of the presentation:
Blockchain, a form of distributed ledger technology, has been gaining tremendous attention due to its immutable nature and the associated security and privacy benefits. The introduction of blockchain into Internet of Things (IoT) domain brings a number of advantages such as facilitating the sharing of IoT services and resources and enabling the automation of time-consuming workflows. However, due to the tight cost and constrained resources of high-volume IoT devices, integrating blockchain into IoT systems is particularly challenging. We present IoTeX, the next generation IoT-oriented blockchain platform with strong scalability, privacy, isolability and developability for incubating new IoT applications and ecosystems. This talk will focus on the software architecture of IoTeX network, the RDPoS consensus protocol as well as security and privacy features. Some potential IoT uses cases that can be powered by the IoTeX blockchain will also be briefly discussed.
