To kickstart our new monthly meetup at Starfish ‘Marketing in Blockchain’ a panel of marketing professionals in the blockchain industry will take a look at how marketing strategies have evolved through the funding stage to #BUIDLing, to go-to-market. They will take a look back at the panel’s time building marketing programs for blockchain startups, and then look forward to how Blockchain marketing will evolve in the coming years.

2018 saw almost $8billion raised through ICOs, while traditional VC investment in Blockchain technology startups increased 280%. As new technologies are being rapidly developed and #BUIDL is firmly underway, the conversation at the meetup will focus on:

Rodrigo is focused on the community/marketing and operations roles at The Graph. The Graph is building a decentralized protocol for querying data off blockchains and storage networks like Ethereum and IPFS. Rodrigo has been a serial entrepreneur for over 20 years, having founded and exited 3 startups before joining The Graph as the first employee. He has an Industrial Engineering degree from the Barrett Honors College at ASU.

Jenia is leading marketing, community building, and developer relations at SKALE Labs. SKALE empowers Ethereum dApps to run high-speed low-cost smart contracts in Layer 2. Prior to joining SKALE, Jenia had been working with startups (YC alumni) and established tech companies (Adobe, Nest). In Adobe she was responsible for user retention strategy for over 5M paid customers. Duke MBA, entrepreneur, over 15 years of experience in marketing in executive roles.

Will is a 10-year Silicon Valley PR and marketing professional, turned blockchain communicator. He spent 5-years at PR agencies 10fold and Grayling, working on enterprise storage, hardware, and Big Data client accounts. After three years in-house, leading marketing teams at MarTech company Emarsys, and AR/VR startup, uSens, Will took a dive into the blockchain industry 18 months ago and founded Blockchain PR agency Pure Knot managing PR and communications programs for BTC.com (mining pool and wallet), Embleema and Sila.
